Conditions allowing for the development of rural tourism in the Timok region in compliance with EU trends and standards have been established. A Rural Tourism Development Strategy for the Timok Region has been prepared. Moreover, a series of educational activities were carried out, aiming to raise awareness of all relevant actors in the field of planning and providing rural tourism services. A regional cooperation and communication platform (cluster), called “Magic of the East” for public and private stakeholders has been established to ensure the flow of information, networking and experience sharing.
