During the project, the methodology of adaptive planning was developed and pilot applied. This approach, which is unique in Slovakia and in Ukraine, will enable planners, or to those who make decisions at the local or regional level, to incorporate the local impacts of global risks into everyday thinking and actions, thus mitigating their consequences. At the same time, cross-border cooperation between Slovak and Ukrainian planners in the SK/UA border area was initiated and institutionalized in the project. Apart from the Framework Methodology of Adaptive Planning, project outcomes also included a guidebook called “Adaptation to Climate Change – Tasks, Approaches and Tools of Self-governments”, Joint Climate Change Adaptation Strategy for the pilot area (Michalovce district, Sobrance district, Uzhgorod Rayon)
